We use UPS, FedEx, and USPS to get the chocolates to their destinations safely and melt-free. They arrive within 1 to 3 days of being engraved and you'll get a tracking number so you can play along.

Orders placed Monday - Friday by 1:00pm EST will be shipped within 2 business days. It is always our goal to get orders out as soon as we can, but since each order is custom engraved there is a lead time. Please allow for production and shipping time. You can also schedule delivery up to 6 months in advance!

Orders $24.00 and under are $8 per location.

Orders over $24.00 are $12.00 per location.

Golden Dark Chocolate is our delicious dark chocolate, but with a few added dapples of FDA approved, food-safe golden mineral dust on the surface. It's tasteless and it makes reading your message a shimmering delight. This mineral dust is corn-free; there's no maltodextrin or cornstarch. (Don't worry, we're corny in other ways).

Yes! The laser simply uses heat and light to sublimate the chocolate. Which is a fancy word for transforming a solid into vapor. What's left is the engraving!

It does not. We tested and tested over many months and figured out the right laser settings so the chocolate doesn't burn and the engraving is deep enough to read.

It’s called bloom, and it’s harmless. Chocolate is made of crystals, and most of the time all the cute little crystals line up. Sometimes, when the chocolate is subjected to temperature fluctuations during the engraving process and shipping they can get confused, and then they get out of alignment. But, only once in a while. The good things is, bloom only changes how chocolate looks, not how it tastes. In some cases, like in the dark chocolate, it even makes your message easier to read!

Yes, we do! Our Golden Dark chocolate is vegan.

Chocolate that is safe for people with food allergies is among our top priorities. We totally get it. Our Co-founder, Jennifer is allergic to 7 of the 8 major allergens, plus a bunch more, so for us, premium soy- and peanut-free chocolate is mission critical or she wouldn't be able to eat her own chocolate. Our chocolate and facility are free of:

Yes. To us, the most important thing is that our chocolate be sourced and produced in a way that supports the environment and the people who do the work. We get our chocolate from a company in California that is proud to be a founding member of the World Cocoa Foundation, and a certified member of the Rainforest Alliance, and Fair Trade USA. Here is what that means:

Fair Trade certification ensures that farmers receive a fair price, allows farmers to invest in techniques that bring out the flavors of the region, and strictly prohibits slave and child labor.

Chocolate is best kept at around 70° F. Do not freeze or refrigerate.

The chocolate can be edible for up to a year, but why wait that long, it's better when fresh! Sometimes, as a result of the engraving process, the message may turn white. This is called bloom and it's totally safe to eat. You can always just wipe you finger across it and, poof! it will be gone! Read more here.

When you type your message, if your sentence is cut off on your screen, then it will be cut off on the chocolate. Literally, what you see is what you get.

We are honored to engrave your personal messages and we take your trust very seriously. We will never share, publish, or copy your messages. They are yours and yours only, to give as you wish. We are just the laser scribes who engrave them into chocolate.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Hateful messages will be refused and refunded at our discretion. Please don't make us read hateful messages. Just be kind and we're all good.
