Here at Noteworthy, we feel strongly that no one should have to miss out on eating delicious chocolate. Our co-founder, Jennifer, is allergic and sensitive to 40 foods, including 7 of the 8 most common allergens, and when we started the company, we obviously wanted to make sure that she could enjoy the chocolate as well!
We know first hand how challenging it can be to find chocolate (or any food, really), that is safe to eat when you have food allergies. The most common allergens associated with chocolate are milk, peanuts/tree nuts, gluten, and soy. Often, the facilities used to produce chocolate aren’t kept free of these ingredients and cross-contamination can occur. The first few ingredients might sound familiar, but what about that pesky soy? Soy lecithin is a common item buried in the ingredient list. It’s often used to improve the consistency of the chocolate to make it easier to work with and it also prolongs the shelf life. Unfortunately, soy was the main culprit behind Jennifer getting really sick and losing her hair a number of years back and we knew that we had to find an alternative that was safe for her to eat.
When we came across Guittard chocolate, we knew we found the winner. Aside from the fact that their premium chocolate is absolutely delicious, the ingredient lists are short and allergy free! What a joyous day it was when Jennifer was able to safely eat chocolate again! We all agree that life is better with chocolate and we want to make sure that it stays accessible to those with food allergies. To keep everything impeccably safe, the Noteworthy Chocolates kitchen is also a wheat, tree nut, peanut and soy-free facility.

Smooth Milk Chocolate
Ingredients: Pure cane sugar, full cream milk, cocoa butter, cacao beans, sunflower lecithin, vanilla beans, shimmer dust (FDA-certified, corn-free).
Golden Dark Chocolate (Vegan)
Ingredients: Cacao Beans, pure cane sugar, cocoa butter, sunflower lecithin, vanilla beans, shimmer dust (FDA-certified, corn-free). Crafted on cleaned equipment also used for milk chocolate.
Classic White Chocolate
Ingredients: Pure cane sugar, cocoa butter, full cream milk, lactose, sunflower lecithin, vanilla beans.
